Commodore 1985 - 1987
1985January: Election of Officers was held at the Moose Lodge.
February: Change of Watch was held at the Pioneer Hotel.
April: London Bridge Regatta.
May: Hobie Cat Regatta & Dale Miller Chairs Ways & Means.
June: Signing of lease tabled until Members approve.
July: Building Committee consisted of Bob Mann, Ken Nattress, Tom Nesmith, Bill Lampkin, Mo Barrett, Dick Martin, Ron Puckett, and Jim Fitzsimmons.
September: Lease returned to Maury Coburn for return to City. Campbell Boat Regatta.
October: Awarded lease by City Council.
1986
January: Catalina Cruise.
February: City will not grant lease until we have financial commitment from Members to pay for building. Members voted to ask for donations and loans to finance building. With this plan, financing was raised and all of the money from Members only. No outside money was used.
December: With the firm support of the Mayor and City Council Members the thirty year lease was signed. City Mayor Jim Spezzano and Members attended the ground breaking ceremony.
